Witch’s Dungeon Museum

Horror movie memorabilia, props and tributes to actors like Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney are on full-display.

Now in it’s 47th year, prop master and illustrator Cortlandt Hull is, once again, showcasing the Witch’s Dungeon and Classic Movie Museum.

”It’s like a wax museum of classic movie monsters, but also we have a lot of original props from films that people can see here as well,” Hull said from his Battle Street home.

Props from films like ‘The Exorcist’, ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, and ‘E.T.’ are part of the impressive collection Hull has accrued over decades of collecting.

“My great uncle was in the ‘Werewolf of London’ in 1935 and he introduced me to a lot of makeup artists and effects people when I was 11 or 12,” Hull said.

The museum is non-profit, Hull has hopes to enlarge it and, eventually, open it all year round.

The Witch’s Dungeon is open 3 more nights this season; October 18, 19 and, of course, on Halloween.

It is located at 90 battle street in Bristol. For more info click
