Hidden History – Berlin Turnpike

It was once known as gasoline alley, or neon alley, and was a major highway from the north to south. But the introduction of Interstate 91 nearly decimated what was formerly known as the Hartford-New Haven Turnpike.

That’s where photojournalist Mike Townsend takes us in this week’s Hidden History.
