Deadly House Fire In Suffield

SUFFIELD – A fire broke out on 1489 Mapleton Ave. Wednesday, May 8th, just before 7 p.m. Fire fighters confirmed that one women died inside the house. Two other residents made it out of the house and were taken to the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.

The State Fire Marshals Office is working to investigate the cause of the fire.

SUFFIELD – Authorities on 1489 Mapleton Ave., where a devastating fire broke out Wednesday evening, have confirmed that one women did not survive the fire.

It was initially reported that one person was unaccounted for. Two others were able to escape the flames and were taken to the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.. There is no word on the extent of their injuries. The body of the missing person was discovered dead inside the Suffield home. Neighbors say the woman who died was in her twenties and worked at a nearby gas station.

SUFFIELD – One person is unaccounted for after a fire seriously damaged a house on Mapleton Road Wednesday night, fire officials said.

The blaze started before 7 p.m. and firefighters were still on scene after 10 p.m. battling hot spots.

Two residents were taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., and a third was unaccounted for, officials said.

Officials said the fire marshal is working to determine what caused the fire.
